The Malta Pool Association is pleased to announce the introduction of a new team format for the upcoming National Team Championships, marking an exciting development in the competition. The proposed change was presented during an extraordinary meeting held for all the members of the association who unanimously voted in favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new format will be implemented for the coming Season 2026\/7. The association also announces that further discussions and meetings will be set in March\/April 2027 to decide the format for the Season 2027\/8 and going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further details regarding the scoring system will be announced by the association in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Championships remain the highlight of the pool sporting calendar in Malta, bringing together the country’s leading athletes and providing a platform to celebrate sporting excellence. The introduction of the team format is expected to add a new level of excitement and competition to this year’s event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Team registrations are being accepted by not later than 1st October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
