Ranking Tournaments

The association will be holding four ranking tournaments valid for the qualification for the European Championships 2026 taking place in Ayia Napa Cyprus between the 20th and 28th February and another four valid for the World Championships qualifications being held in Marrakech Morocco between the 17th and 27th September.  The tournaments will include four categories, Men, Under 18’s, Under 23’s and Over 50’s.

All players participating in these tournaments will be awarded a number of points depending how far they go in each tournament. Points will be awarded as follows:

• • Players winning the tournament win a spot in their respective category’s national team
  • Final – 225 points
  • Semi Finals – 170 points
  • Quarter Finals – 130 points
  • Last 16 – 100 points
  • Last 32  – 75 points
  • Last 64 – 55 points
  • Last 128 – 40 points

Players can only participate in one category and have to make up their decision before the commencement of the first tournament.

All games will take place at St. George’s Band Club, Qormi.
