The Malta Pool Association would like to notify that due to the widespread of the pandemic the national team championships are being temporarily postponed until week ending 14th March 2021.
The association will be publishing new dates for the resumption of the championships.
The association would like to notify that due to the recent COVID 19 restrictions published by the Health Authorities, whereby all bars & clubs are to being locked, all events scheduled in November are being postponed until further notice.
In case of new issues of restrictions by the authorities or changes in the current ones the association will announce further details or dates depending on the circumstances.
The Executive of the association met yesterday to discuss the current situation in relation to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines published by the Local Health Authorities and Sportmalta.
Following the decision taken on the 12th March to suspend and postpone all games the Executive committee unanimously decided to cancel out all remaining games and competitions scheduled in this season that would have come to an end in June. In this regard the season is now being declared closed and no teams are being recognized as champions of their respective category. No promotions and relegations will take place.
During the coming Annual General Meeting, for which a date will be communicated at a later stage, the association will be announcing an incentive scheme, to be applied for next season, for all club members that participated during this season.

In the wake of the COVID-19 virus the Malta Pool Association notifies that the commencement of the National Team League Round 2 is being postponed from Monday 23rd March to a date which will be announced at a later stage.
The association urges everyone to keep safe and avoid unnecessary outings
The Malta Pool Association would like to inform all its club members that a general meeting is being held on Monday 18th November at PL Fgura commencing at 7.30 pm.
During the meeting the executive committee will be giving out information about all events scheduled till the end of the season. The draws for the national team league, starting in January, will also be held together with the draws of the Euro Ranking Tournament No. 4. All clubs are obliged to attend.
The Malta Pool Association would like to inform all club members that an urgent Extra Ordinary Meeting is being called on Tuesday 17th September at PL Fgura at 7.00 pm.
The meeting will discuss and vote for changes in the association’s constitution that will become effective with immediate effect. All club members are obliged to attend this important meeting.
Draws for the db Ranking Tournament No. 1 will take place after this meeting.
