Jojo’s Bar B’ Bugia notched their name for the first time on a major event organised by the Malta Pool Association. In a terrific final the south enders had to struggle to beat Tarxien Bocci Club 11-9.
Jojo’s Bar won first session 3-2 but Tarxien recovered well winning the next two session and took a minimal lead of 8-7. The last session proofed to be very anxious. Jojo’s levelled the score 8-8 but Tarxien went again ahead 9-8 winning the next frame. With both sides trying to edge their contenders it was the B’ Bugia team who managed to keep up with their nerves winning the last three consecutive frames and claiming victory.
Jojo’s team was composed by Chris Tabone, Alessio Magro, Joseph Blu Tabone, Lee Ryan, Marius Carabott, Mario Spiteri and Glenn Axiaq.
